Problem Note 50467: The SASĀ® Metadata Server log contains an error that the CPU serial is unlicensed even though the serial number matches the setinit information
When you are using SAS® 9.3 (M2) and you start the SAS Metadata Server, you might see the following message in the server log:
The SAS System is executing on a processor (CPU) whose model name, model
number, and serial number are not included in the setinit data used to initialize the SAS System library
in use.
This is permitted if this processor is a designated backup processor for a licensed CPU.
For this site, the SAS system is licensed for the following CPU serial numbers:
Model IBM mmmm-nnn Serial Number nnnnnn
ERROR: The requested serial number of nnnnnn does not match the actual serial number of .
The SAS Metadata Server executes normally.
